Actress goes to Parliament

After reformation in 1998, Indonesia moves to new story of democracy. Everyone can express their idea, can complain the president, can arrange demonstration, can put hot news in the newspaper, etc. In the election 1999, Indonesia has more political party (before only 3). This new political party has a lot of candidate, and their own supporter. In 1999 PDI-P as a new comer has won the election, but they can’t bring their leader (Megawaty) to be a president.

In election 2004, Golkar has won the election for parliament member. Golkar did collaboration with democrat to put Mr. Yudoyono (from democrat) and Mr. Yusuf Kalla (from Golkar) as president and vice president.

From 1999 to 2004, just a few artist who interested to be a parliament member, Sopan Sofyan from PDI-P, Angelina Sondakh from Democrat, Wanda Hamidah from PAN,etc. In that time, the entire artist has capacity to be a politician.

It’s so different in 2009; a lot of artist has ambision to be one of parliament member. But, only a few of them who has qualification. What we can expect from Tengku Firmansyah, Rachel Maryam, Venna Melinda, Sys NS, Dedy Mizwar, Eko Patrio, etc. They do not know the political term. I can conclude that the political party used them to be an ambassador of their party. Famous people can up-grade the party rate.

Do our people have enough knowledge to make a good decision? We can see it after April 9, 2009.
